Gomes' daughter doing well following attack in Trinidad

Friday, February 15, 2013

DEIDRE Gomes, daughter of Jamaicans For Justice Executive Director Carolyn Gomes, is said to be doing well, following an incident in which she and a prominent Kingston businessman were stabbed during Carnival in Trinidad.

The two were reportedly participating in carnival activities when they were stabbed and robbed of cellphones and a camera.

JFJ Chairperson Susan Goffe, who confirmed the incident as it relates to Gomes, said that she was doing okay and that she was expected back in the island yesterday.

The incident reportedly occurred close to the Bayside Towers in Cocorite about 11 o'clock Tuesday night.
