JamaicaObserver.com

Sunday, May 23, 2010

SECURITY forces are providing buses to help evacuate residents of Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town via Industrial Terrace towards Marcus Garvey Drive.

"Those persons opting to be evacuated are being asked, if possible, to bring only medication along with them," said a police statement.

Accommodation is to be provided by the Office of Disaster Preparedness (ODPEM).

wild guess

If this man Dudus is really as clever as he seems then he must be long gone from Tivoli. If he is still there he must be using more drugs than he is (allegedly) selling. That being said I Pray for the people there, cause we in other Parishes see most of the gun men left heading to Kingston from all over Jamaica. They are trying to make a point to the Police, Government, and us all. It is not just about Dudus. The point seem to be Bad man run tings!

Nadine, calm down!!
.
If the police and military cannot bring this to a rapid closure then we have lost in a big way.
No need for any outside help. Get rid of the entire Golding administration. They have brought disgrace to our beloved country!

I personally will not be happy unless at least 100 of these gunbwoys are killed immediately upon sight by in the morning. Then by tomorrow afternoon hopefully another 150..and so on for the rest of de week. Clean up time! After that, we flatten the place with bulldozers over the next week. Week 3, we start planting grass and put in benches. By end of June it will be a nice functioning park. Next stop Rema 'cross the street. After that no more low income communities like that should be built. As is currently being done in the US we need mixed use dwellings. But first things first. 100 by in the morning.

Jamaica's Army/Police can copy a model.
See as much as the Iraq was was wrong, there was one town where they did the right thing, Fallujah.
The soldiers told all the women and children to leave, all the men who wanted no part of the fight, then went in and did battle with those who thought they were up to it. the diehards, well you can guess what happened to them.
Cleaned out that rats nest in just a few days.
Think about it JA.

wayne jones, I really hope ur sources are reliable. How the hell they are going to leave?. Beside some women said they are prepared to die for the don. Deal with TG first , then we kick out JLP. Both JLP and PNP are responsible for this MESS.

Both PNP and JLP are at fault for the further destruction of this country. Why did the PNP in the interest of this nation and for political points dealt with the issue on a non-partisan fashion. Resolve the issue without the political gesturing. No they would rather mash up the country to support Uncle Sam foreigner policy agenda. Crime will still be here long after Dudus, he is the symptom and not the cause. We need Jobs, Education and hope for the hopeless. once again politics has out weight common sense and good. They are 500 dudus in waiting. If both parties concentrated the effort which was given in the past month to this affair,Jamaica would be on it's way to becoming a great nation. Instead, we took what Uncle give us about this man, demonized him, criminalized him, and now executed base on a nation that dictates its foreign policy on lies, deception, half true and what is convenient for the current time. How fast we are to destroy our country for someone who would care less

Richard Edwards:
Don't worry the U.S. will help, if only for the sake of getting to Dudus (although he may not even be in TG). From the initial stages of all of this last yr, I was convinced that it WAS NEVER a question of if, the U.S. would get Dudus, it was WHEN.
Are the marines here yet??

Gary Lee:
I am wondering if you are apart of the thugs. Don't worry, all of this will end this week!!!
I say innocent lives will be lost ...God bless those worthy souls, but just bomb the entire Tivoli. Currently based on how TG has been set up like a mine, it is unsafe for security forces to enter so just drop a bomb.
Guess you wont like this comment too Gary Lee but oh well, the country will no longer be held hostage by hooligans.

Good idea and leave the majority of the gunmen in tivoli by themselves to defend it. Now the army can move in and wipe them all out! Good plan!
Richard Edwards
5/23/2010
Well, you guys clearly don't understand the reality of what is happening on the ground in Tivoli. I hardly think anyone in Tivoli will be able to leave, and if they do leave they will be doing so at their own risk. Answer this, wouldn't it be easier to help them to leave before the chaos started, why didn't anyone think about these thing ahead of time. We seem to have a set of no brainers running that country. No strategy, no logistical planning, nothing, just the cheap talks as usual, as you can see that gets us nowhere. Police stations bombed, people shot up and all kind of madness, we are certainly not prepared to handle this one. Now is a very good time to ask for outside help, but then again, how many countries are going to be willing to help a corrupted governement and a set of self serving politicians who have created this mess.

People will not leave them valuables behind, the Gov has decided to use force against their own supporters, committing political suicide. A lot of blood will be shed, some good, some bad, and some indifferent.
The PM has made bad decision after bad decision, listening to a lot of blood thirsty people calling for a military strike against TG. But, TG is not the only place that guns and criminals reside and the Gov will find itself surrounded.

Here we go again. Stupid statements & plans. Most of the residents are sitting ducks. Stay and they are as good as dead from the mayhem, try to leave and they are as good as dead from the gunmen. So let me ask a foolish question, who's going to drive this bus into TG & DT ?
When this mess is over, I hope that the person that does military strategic planning for Dudus does not get hurt. it is strong willed gentlemen like these we need to run our security forces. Can you imagine how well-planned the forces execution of duties would be carried out ? Hire this guy/girl when this is over.

Late but still a good move. I hope they take advantage of it before the hellfire starts. Holy mackerel! I still cannot believe that the govt. allowed this to happen. Are they looking for drama! Slackness to the core! Shameful!
One man is causing all this potential devastation!
