Gunmen stage robbery, shoot woman

Thursday, July 19, 2012 | 2:59 PM

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Police have launched a manhunt for four gunmen who today shot and injured a woman and made off with a TV set and an X-Box game following a robbery at a restaurant located on Kings Crescent in St Andrew.

Police reports are that at about 1:30 pm four men in a car went to the business place located close to the Transport Authority office and held up the occupants.

"The men shot and injured the woman, removed a television set and a X-box game from the location before making their escape in a waiting vehicle," an investigating officer told the Jamaica Observer.

Sounds of gunfire yesterday created nervous moments for motorists and several members of the public who were in the area at the time of the robbery.
