Guns, ammo seized in Seaview, Mandeville

A Colt .45 pistol along with seven .45 rounds were seized following an operation in Seaview Gardens, Kingston 11 last evening.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 5:25 pm, a team of officers was on patrol in the area when they observed a man acting in a suspicious manner. He was searched and the weapon and ammunition were taken from him. He was arrested in connection with the seizure.

His name is being withheld pending further investigations.

And members of the Transnational Crime Narcotics Division seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Mandeville yesterday.

Reports are that about 2:00 pm, the team of officers was conducting spot check duties, when they stopped and searched a coaster bus. One handgun and a magazine were seized and two men were taken into custody.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
