Guns, ammo seized in Sligoville

THE Spanish Town Police seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition in Sligoville, St Catherine last evening.

Reports are that between the hours of 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm, a team of officers was on operation in the area when a building was searched.

One 9mm Taurus pistol with seven 9mm cartridges and a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with six 9mm cartridges were seized.

Three men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure. Their names are being withheld pending further investigations.
