Lewin, who is also a retired chief of defence staff of the Jamaica Defence Force, entered the not guilty plea on Thursday during his first appearance in the Traffic Court in Kingston.
Lewin is alleged to have slammed his motor vehicle into a parked car along Red Hills Road on September 13.
The police were called to the scene and Lewin was charged after he allegedly refused to submit to a breathalyser test.
The October 30 mention date was set after Lewin's attorney reportedly said that he was awaiting statements in the matter.
