KINGSTON, Jamaica — For 25 years residents of Gem Crescent in Bull Bay have been calling on the authorities to address the deplorable road conditions in the community — without success.

"For all these years we calling for some attention now the situation have gotten even worse," said Cynthia Warren, a long time resident of the community.

Warren was among a group in the area who claimed that because of the poor road condition, a simple walk along the roadway could cause injury to anyone brave enough to travel through the area.

"I am a lady up in age and if I am not careful just trying to walk along the road could land me in the hospital," a senior citizen commented. Roadways in the commnity show signs of once being paved, however erosion has removed the asphalt in most places leaving dangerous trenches and craters for residents to traverse."

Gen Crescent is located off the Bull Bay main road in the vicinity of the Bull Bay police station.
