LEADER of the Opposition Andrew Holness today announced the shadow cabinet and house committee chairmen at a press conference.
He said the responsibility of the shadow cabinet was created so the ministers would have to play a dual role. They will have to monitor and respond to actions of the ministries, and also play a role in devising and proposing policies to develop their various portfolios.

His shadow cabinet, which is four less than the cabinet announced by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, includes: Audley Shaw, responsible for Finance, Planning, Growth and Economic Development; Delroy Chuck, responsible for Justice, National Security, Electoral Matters and Leader of Opposition Business in the House; and Arthur Williams, responsible for Information, Public Service and Labour Leader of Opposition Business in the Senate.
