Homemade firearm, ganja seized in St Elizabeth

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A homemade firearm and approximately a quarter pound of ganja were seized in Thornton district, St Elizabeth Friday.

Reports from the Black River Police are that between 6:00pm and 8:00am an operation was conducted in the community, during which the homemade handgun and the ganja were seized.

Two men were arrested and charged in connection with the drug seizure. They are to appear in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, February 20.

The Black River Police are investigating.
