DEEP BAY, Antigua - The Dominican Republic delivered a shock 2-1 defeat on host Antigua and Barbuda as the CFU Caribbean Championship got underway Friday at the Antigua Recreation Ground.

In another Group A game in the double-header, Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti drew 0-0 to be tied for second place.

The Dominican Republic lead the standings on three points, with Antigua at the bottom of the four-team group.

Group B action gets underway this evening at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium with Martinique facing Cuba and defending champions Jamaica doing battle with French Guiana.
