HYACINTH 'Letna' Dawkins, who passed away on December 17, 2013, was eulogised as a "go-getter" who worked hard in order to provide for her children.

But Dawkins was also remembered for being very protective of her younger siblings, as well as having love for God.

Dawkins was laid to rest in her family plot at Lacey District, St Andrew after a thanksgiving service for her life on January 25 at Parkes Road New Testament Church of God.

Jamaica Observer photographer Joseph Wellington shares scenes from the service.
