Isaac dumps water on Portland roads

Wednesday, August 29, 2012

PORT Antonio, Portland — Tropical Storm Isaac dumped heavy rain on the island as it passed to the north late Sunday. Intermit-tent showers from the storm's outer bands continued to affect the country Monday morning, causing some roads — particularly in Portland, as shown here — to become inundated.

Among the areas affected were Manning Avenue, Manning Lane, Thompson Road, Prospect land settlement, Boundbrook, Folly, and Dolphin Bay.

No major land slippage or blockages were reported.
