JEA hosts workshops on CBI this week

KINGSTON, Jamaica --The Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) in collaboration with the United States Embassy is hosting three workshops on ‘Maximising benefits under the Caribbean Basin Initiative’ in Kingston and Montego Bay this week.

Presenter of the workshops, geared to small and medium-sized businesses, is Andrea Ewart a US-based Jamaican attorney-at-law and international trade specialist.

According to the JEA the US is Jamaica’s closest and largest market, and Ewart will provide a “straightforward description of what trade preferences Jamaicans can utilise under the CBI”.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4 two workshop are scheduled for the JEA headquarters on Winchester Road in Kingston, the first starting at 9:00 am and the other at 1:30 pm.

And in Montego Bay on June 5 the workshop is scheduled for 1:00 pm at the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce in Overton Plaza.
