KINGSTON, Jamaica –A delegation from the Jamaica Football Federation’s (JFF) departs the island today to commence its United Kingdom recruitment drive for the World Cup qualifiers.

The delegation, which includes JFF president Horace Burrell, head-coach Theodore Whitmore and assistant coach Alfredo Montesso, is expected to meet with about nine players from several UK clubs.

Jamaica’s only trip to the football World Cup was France 1998, where Whitmore helped the country to its lone victory, a 2-1 win over Japan.
