KINGSTON, Jamaica — The High Court has ruled that the Jamaica Public Service exclusive all-island licence is not completely valid.
The court ruled that the aspect of the licence, which bars the Government from considering other applicants who want to supply electricity, is not valid.
The ruling has opened the way for other players in the energy industry to make an application to supply electricity.
