JUTC to extend operating hours for FNO traffic

Thursday, September 09, 2010

THE Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will be extending its operating hours tomorrow in support of the Jamaica Observer-promoted Fashion's Night Out (FNO) event.

The state-owned bus company, which normally operates up to 10:30 pm daily, will extend the service to midnight on Friday along most of its main operating routes. This will include the Corporate Area generally, as well as routes to Spanish Town and Portmore in St Catherine, the JUTC said in a release.

"With Fashion's Night Out scheduled to end officially at 10:00 pm, it is projected that the two-hour span up to midnight should be enough time for commuting shoppers to be able to get their bus ride home after the event," JUTC corporate communications manager, Reginald Allen said.
