Jamaican dies in Barbados prison

A Jamaican man who was serving a three-year sentence for importing drugs into Barbados died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital last Tuesday, the Barbados Nation reports.

Police said 25-year-old Deshawn George Campbell complained of feeling ill last Monday and was rushed from Her Majesty’s Prison to the hospital.

The matter has reportedly been reported to Jamaica’s High Commissioner to Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, Sharon Saunders.
