Jamaican woman gets UK jail time for drugs

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Jamaican woman has been sentenced to 40 months in a British jail for drug dealing.

According to a Daily Mail report, Sophia Bailey, an illegal immigrant, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin with intent to supply and possessing crack cocaine, according to the Daily Mail.

The 40-year-old was held after police allegedly found 75 grams of crack cocaine and 38.6 grams of heroin in her home on January 10.

Bailey is alleged to have transferred about £23,000 ($3.2 million) over the past six years to people in Jamaica.
