Jodi-Ann Gray gives birth
Jamaica Observer
Tuesday, July 10, 2012 | 9:55 AM
JODI-ANN Gray, the KOOL FM personality who was shot as she attempted to enter her Portmore, St Catherine home, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday.
The child was born in a hospital overseas and mother and child are reportedly doing well.
As Gray was about to leave her motorcar, she was pounced upon by a man who shot her once in the face and twice in the shoulder. She was hospitalised and spent several weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a bullet which had lodged in her throat.
The gun attack took place in April this year and minutes after shots were fired quick action by the police resulted in the arrest of three men, one of whom was Gray's co-worker Wayne White.
White has since been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and shooting with intent.
White's crony, Safari Farr, has also been charged with the same offenses. The third man is yet to be charged.
The three were held in a motorcar registered to White's wife. The license plates were covered with cardboard, police say.
A firearm was seized in the incident.
