KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) is on cleanup drive to remove shops from sidewalks across the Corporate Area.

A team of KSAC workers is now travelling along Molynes Road demolishing several sidewalk stalls.

"Them just come, don't say nothing to we, and just start mash up the stall them," complained Icilda Patterson, a 65-year-old woman.

She was among large group of vendors along the busy thoroughfare that runs from Half-Way-Tree to the foot of Red Hills who were left fuming following the strong-arm operation.

"Things and times hard, people no have no work and trying to make ends meet, and them come mash down me stall," said Mellisa Palmer, another stall operator.
