KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) today begins its ‘name and shame’ clampdown on business places which have been operating without trade licences.

Town Clerk, Errol Greene said that the team from the Corporation will at 10:00am leave its Church Street headquarters start their drive to target business operators who are still delinquent in the payment of trade licence fees.

Greenes however was tight-lipped about where the clamp down team would begin.

"The team will begin from KSAC headquaters and that is all we can say at this time," he told the Observer.

The team led by Mayor Angela Brown-Burke is returning to downtown Kingston in search of entities that are still delinquent in the payment of trade fees.

Mayor Brown-Burke says in the 'name and shame' phase of the initiative, the team will be out in full force targeting entities that have refused to pay the $5,000 annual fee.
