THERE will be no open court evidence in the murder trial of dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel until Thursday when jurors will return to the Home Circuit Court to continue hearing evidence in the matter.

Yesterday, the voir dire (a trial within trial) to determine what aspect of evidence from Sgt Patrick Linton — the former head of the Cybercrimes Unit is admissible — continued outside the presence of the jurors.

Kartel (Adidja Palmer), Shawn 'Shawn Storm' Campbell, Shane Williams, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones are being tried for murder in the alleged beating death of Clive 'Lizard' Williams on August 16, 2011.

The accused men are members of the Portmore, St Catherine-based 'Gaza Empire', headed by Kartel.
