Pedestrian killed in hit and run

AN unidentified man, believed to be in his early 40s, died after he was hit by a motor vehicle on the Spanish Town Road, near Majesty Gardens, last night.
He was wearing a red long-sleeve t-shirt, blue jeans pants and black slippers.
Police said about 7:30 pm, the man was crossing the road towards Majesty Gardens when he was hit by a motor vehicle which did not stop. He died on the spot. The police were alerted and a team from the Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit (AIRU) responded and processed the scene.
The Hunts Bay Traffic Department is investigating.
