KINGSTON, Jamaica — A major police operation is now underway in the Red Hills Road area of Kingston.

A large contingent of police and soldiers are conducting searches at business establishments and residences close to the 100 Lane community.

"I was in my house at about 10:30 when I saw large group of police and soldiers come down on Borgward Drive," a resident told the Observer.

As the man spoke the team was seen using a crow bar to remove the door from a bar in the area.

No one has so far been taken into custody.
