KINGSTON, Jamaica -- The man accused of hacking two St Elizabeth students to death has been charged.

Twenty-six-year-old Alton Baker was charged by the St Elizabeth police over the weekend with two counts of murder, OBSERVER ONLINE has learned. He is to appear in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Baker is accused of chopping to death 15-year-old boys Desrick Williams, a student of Balaclava High School and Ashnell Coke of Maggotty High on January 8.

Reports are that the boys had gone to a river at Thornton District in the parish to catch crayfish when they were attacked by the accused and killed.
