Man killed, two firearms seized in Johnson Pen

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police seized two firearms and a magazine with eight rounds after an operation in St Catherine this afternoon.

Preliminary reports are that a police party engaged two men in the Johnson Pen community at about 12:30pm.

One of the men was shot and a firearm recovered.

A house where the men were was searched and an AK47 rifle was also found.

The injured man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations are underway.
