Man mobbed after he attacks woman downtown Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- OBSERVER ONLINE understands that a man was a short while ago rescued by the police in downtown Kingston after he allegedly attacked a woman who is now in critical condition at hospital.

The details surrounding the incident are not immediately clear but reports are that the man was also taken to hospital after he was set upon by members of the public.

His condition is not immediately known.

The police were assisted by members of the Jamaica Defence Force.
