Thursday, February 02, 2012
THE Portmore Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of 32-year-old truck driver, Oniel Henry, of Germaine Road, Bridgeport in St Catherine. He was found dead in Brampton Farm, Old Harbour yesterday.
The police report that about 9:00 pm, Henry and two friends were driving along the roadway towards Old Harbour. Upon reaching the Sharper Lane area in Central Village, they were pounced upon by a group of armed men who reportedly kidnapped them. They were then allegedly taken to Brampton Farm where they were stabbed several times and reportedly thrown into a swamp in the area.
One of the men managed to escape and is now in hospital in stable condition. A search of the area led to the discovery of Henry’s body. The search continues for the third person.
