KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister Dr Peter Phillips says the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management is to release all shelter locations and a list of all communities to be evacuated later this evening.

He said the evacuation orders will be issued for “at-risk communities”.

He said, however, that the orders were not compulsory or mandatory but may become so where there are children, elderly, and disabled persons involved.

“Mandatory evacuation could be ordered,” he told Parliament today.
