KINGSTON, Jamaica - An elderly woman was rushed to hospital today after the motorcar in which she was travelling crashed into tree along the Mandela Highway.
Police reports are that at about 12:00 today the driver of a Toyota Corolla was travelling towards Kingston when he swerved the car to avoid hitting a man whose vehicle had broke down on the busy thoroughfare.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a nearby tree in the vicinity of Ferry police station.
"We are not sure what condition the woman is in as she received several cuts to her face," police on the scene said.
