May Pen police seize firearm

CLARENDON, Jamaica -- A 9 mm pistol with several rounds of ammunition was seized by the police in an operation on Belle Plain main road, May Pen, Clarendon Wednesday.
The May Pen police reported that about 11:50 pm lawmen were carrying out an operation in the area when the driver of a motor vehicle was signalled to stop. The motor vehicle was searched and the firearm containing 13 rounds of ammunition discovered.
Five people were arrested in connection with the find. Their identities are however being withheld.
