McLaughlin second in women’s Diamond League 200m

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Anneisha McLaughlin (22.70) placed second in the women’s 200m after failing to hold off France’s Myriam Soumare (22.63).
McLaughlin led off the bend but was unable to get to the line before a strong finishing Soumare.
American Charonda Williams was third in 22.74.
Williams is also the Diamond League winner for the event.
Another Jamaican, Samantha Henry-Robinson finished fourth in 22.84.
