Men drive onto school ground, threaten to kill student

Saturday, February 02, 2013

Students at St Hugh's High School in St Andrew were left traumatised yesterday morning after two men drove onto the school compound and threatened to kill a student.

Police told the Jamaica Observer that the men sought out the student at the all-girls school and told her that they were going to kill her and that they knew where she lives.

The police were unable to say immediately what caused the men to issue the threat. However, they said that after the frightening incident students went to St Luke's Church in Cross Roads to pray.

Police from the Cross Roads station also went to the school, where they maintained a presence in an effort to give the students a feeling of security.
