TRELAWNY, Jamaica -- A large contingent of police assigned to the Trelawny division are now combing bushes surrounding Hague Settlement in the parish in search of the body of a missing female ward of the Granville Place of Safety.

The girl is suspected to have been buried alive in a shallow grave.

She was one of two juveniles who broke out of the place of safety over the weekend.

The police were called in after one of the two girls returned to the facility and reported that her friend, who is said to be a diabetic, was buried in a shallow grave by male members of the community after she lost consciousness.
