DETECTIVES attached to the Montego Bay Police Station are now searching for clues to solve last night's gun murder of a 49-year-old man at the intersection of West Green and Fairfield streets in St James.

Dead is Donald Clarke of Gutters District, also in the parish.

Information from the police is that about 8:30 pm, Clarke was among a group of men sitting at a house when the driver of a silver motorcar approached them.

One of two male occupants alighted and started a brief conversation with the men. He then pulled a firearm and reportedly shot Clarke repeatedly, before escaping in the waiting motor vehicle.

Clarke was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died while being treated.
