Montegonians give mixed views on storm preparations

As Tropical Storm Sandy moves towards the island yesterday the Jamaica Observer took to the streets of Montego Bay to find out what kind of preparations citizens were making for the storm.

I have not made any preparations, I don't have any money to buy anything. I am a student.

So far mi just full up some containers with water and make sure mi charge up my phone. Mi have some tinned mackerel and rice so I should be okay.

I am not preparing. I never prepare for no hurricane. Whenever they arrive I will always survive.

I am not prepared. I am unemployed and so I have no money to buy the things I want.
