More than 1,000 lbs of ganja seized in Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Cops from the Transnational Crimes and Narcotics Division seized more than1,000 pounds of ganja during an operation on Sunday morning.

The police report that about 9:00 am, they were conducting an operation in Waltham Park, when a truck was seen parked in the area. A subsequent search of the truck revealed 372 packets of compressed ganja weighing 1119.7 pounds.

Three men were arrested in connection with the find. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
