Tuesday, September 11, 2012 | 8:14 AM

KINGSTON, Jamaica- Former Special Projects manager at the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), Mark Rodney, who is accused of defrauding the agency, is scheduled to return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court this morning.

On the previous July 18 mention, investigators reported that they needed more time to complete the file in the case.

Rodney was charged in June following investigation into massive fraud at the solid waste agency.

It's alleged that Rodney, who was the sole signatory to a company he owned, awarded  contracts to himself by bypassing the tendering process, and pocketed millions of dollars for alleged works done by his company.

The former member of the Jamaica Labour Party affiliate, Young Jamaica, was among a group of managers fired in January by the new management of the NSWMA.
