NWC working to restore water in St Mary and Portland
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission is advising customers in Bellfield and surrounding areas of St Mary, that their current water disruption is as a result of a broken main in the Bellfield community.
Repair work is presently under way and restoration of regular water supply will resume as soon as this is completed, NWC said in a news release Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Commission is reporting that customers in the Buff Bay area of Portland, will experience intermittent water lock-off throughout the day. This as the company carries out a leak detection exercise on the transmission line in the area.
NWC said areas impacted include Charles Town, Plum Valley, White River, and Red Hills.
The National Water Commission apologised for any inconvenience caused and is assuring customers that regular water supply will return by late this evening.
