Newspaper vendor killed by minibus

FORTY-five-year-old Sharon Thompson, a newspaper vendor from Shrewsbury, Westmoreland died after she was hit by a mini-bus on Bay Road, Little London in the parish yesterday.
Police said about 6:00 am, Thompson was walking along Bay Road when the accident happened. She sustained injuries and was assisted to the Savanna-La-Mar General Public Hospital where she succumbed.
The driver of the vehicle, Coleman Brown, 39, of Walter Cheddersingh, Llandilo was subsequently arrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The Savanna-La-Mar Police are investigating
