Next few days likely to be rainy, cold

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

THE National Meteorological Service says a frontal system is expected to bring showers across St Mary, Portland, St Thomas, Kingston & St Andrew, and St Catherine tonight, and spread to remaining parts of the island by tomorrow and continue through Friday.

The Met Service said weather conditions are forecast to gradually improve on Saturday, but warned that with the ground already saturated from last week’s passage of Hurricane Sandy, there is a possibility of flooding in flood-prone areas.

At the same time, a cold front is expected to result in coolerthan-normal conditions across the island.
