May Day, Manchester- A post-mortem confirmed on Monday that Old England Primary School student Samantha Anderson who was found dead in a tank here on September 8 died from drowning.
The family has since been given permission by the Manchester police to bury the nine-year-old.
The funeral is set for Saturday.
Anderson was reported missing after failing to return from school on September 7.
Her school uniform, bag with her books, shoes and underwear were reportedly beside the tank the morning her body was found.
The police are now in the process of completing the investigating.
However, David Forbes an uncle of Anderson who had suspected “foul play” in the child’s death, said that the family is still not entirely satisfied.
“The family still want to know how she drown. Because she drown don’t mean say is she drown herself,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
