No Olympic holiday for criminals

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police High command is reporting that there was no noticeably dip in crime statistics during the recent Olympic period.

This revelation was made today by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Glenmuir Hinds.

"Based on assessment of statistics over the last 10 weeks (the Olympic period included) there has been no significant drop in crime," Hinds told the Jamaica Obsever.

Hinds said statistics showed crime figures continued on the same trend even during the period of the Olympics.
