No new chair yet for UDC, says OPM

JAMAICA House says appointments of members to the various boards of entities under the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), including the Urban Development Corporation (UDC), have yet been finalised.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller said the process of identifying board appointees was on-going, but no decision has yet been made.

The OPM was responding to a report Thursday that attorney-at-law David Rowe was tipped to head the UDC.

Simpson Miller, at the same time, said the practice of appointing executive chairmen of boards has been discontinued.
