New Custos of St Andrew Marigold Harding (right) poses with her predecessor Bishop Dr Carmen Stewart following her installation at a ceremony at King's House yesterday. Harding was appointed as custos in August, following the retirement of Stewart, who had been serving in the post since 1992. As custos, Harding will represent the governor general within the parish and receive local and international dignitaries in his absence. She will also be the chief magistrate for the parish and ensure that enough justices of the peace are present at each meeting of the petty sessions court. Harding was presented with her instrument of office by Governor General Sir Patrick Allen at yesterday's ceremony, which was addressed by Prime MInister Bruce Golding. (Photo: Karl McLarty)
