Fireworks explode in a shimmering array of colours during yesterday's closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where Jamaica has astounded the world with its impressive athletic performances ovber the past few weeks. The closing cremony was an homage to all things British. Organisers promised "a celebration of all that's good about London, British people, our music and our culture." The ceremony also paid tribute to Britain's rich literary heritage, with a montage of newspaper headlines created from a millennium of classics, Geoffrey Chaucer, to Jane Austen, Charles Dickens -- and of course William Shakespeare.
