Pepperpot - Pathetic figurehead

Staff in the institution are saying that the new head honcho is actually a figurehead because the 'retired' one is still calling the shots. No serious decision can be made without first consulting with the old boss, and frustrated employees have been talking.

MIAs in T&T

Is your boss missing in action (MIA)? Chances are he/she is jumping mas in Trinidad and Tobago. It's the annual ritual for socaphiles, and for many of our top guys and gals the trek is irresistible.

Sotto voce bad word?

People are asking if it's true that during the cass-cass in Parliament last week someone whispered some choice Jamaican 'bad words' which were barely audible in the din, as MPs Patrick Atkinson and Andrew Holness were 'duking' it out.

Big up Tessanne... again!

Tessanne Chin continues to fly our flag high, with her invitation to perform at Michelle Obama's event at the White House. Makes us girls feel proud to be girls. Way to go, girl! Hoist the black, green and gold on the White House rooftop.

Question of the week

Why are we having another commission of enquiry when the report from the last one (Finsac) is not yet out? BTW, did any good come of the Dudus/Manatt enquiry?
