Thursday, November 01, 2012

Corporal O'Neil Patterson (right), community safety officer for the Kingston Eastern Division, is presented with the 2012-2013 Lasco/JCF Police Officer of the Year trophy by Lascelles Chin, executive chairman of the Lasco Group, at an awards ceremony at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, yesterday. The 31-year-old Patterson, who lives by the philosophy "you can achieve more without causing other persons to achieve less", came out ahead of eight other finalists in this year's competition. Apart from trophies, Patterson along with runners-up and nominees received cash prizes, plaques, certificates and gift baskets from Lasco. (Photo: Karl McLarty)
