Police hold main suspect in Pleasant Hill killings

Monday, July 26, 2010

THE main suspect in Thursday night's quadruple murder in the quiet Pleasant Hill district of Bog Walk in St Catherine was yesterday held by the police.

The man was among 15 persons held during a joint police/military operation in the nearby town of Linstead. The suspect is scheduled to undergo questioning by homicide detectives in the presence of his attorney today.

Investigators suspect that three men were involved in the deadly attack, which left four persons dead -- including three members of one family -- and another seriously injured.

The deceased have been identified as 41-year-old Audrey Thomas, her son Keniel McForka, 19, and her 40-year-old common-law husband Waymon Williams. The fourth victim, 20-year-old Shakira Clarke -- a customer service representative from Lawrence Tavern in St Andrew -- was visiting at the time.

The injured person, in the meantime, was admitted to hospital in serious condition.

Good.
Now, I hope that most people realize that there must have been some kind of cooperation between security forces and the community. How else could they have made an arrest so speedily.
Congrats to the security forces and to the citizens that volunteered information. Congrats !!!!! Keep up the good work .. both sides. Work together, not against each other.

Congratulation to the security force; this should send a message to these killers that they will be hunted down like the animals they
are and prosecuted to the fullest extent. Every Jamaicans need to support the security force by reporting suspicious activities. Now the government should consider reinstating the death penalty. Life in prison is too much of a luxury for these blood thirsty and heartless killers.

It is nice to see the security forces making the moves they have in capturing these murderers quickly. With this supect in hand maybe they can interrogate him to find out about the conspiracy to create mayhem and blame the opposition for not extending the SOE. Very interesting.
