KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Police have now made a list of several gang members in East Kingston who they believe are behind the recent flare up of violence in the area.

The police are planning to carry out a series of raids to capture these criminals, a senior police officer told OBSERVER ONLINE Monday morning.

However the lawmen have declined to give further information on the planned operations saying only that a manhunt has been launched for the known criminals.

Authorities are keeping a close watch on the area after reports that four houses were fire bombed by criminals in the Bayshore community adjacent to Harbour View.
